Yuri was born in the land of Carnival of Brazil, Rio de Janeiro and has spent most of his childhood in Milan, Italy. Watching and listening to other drummers and percussionists from all genres since young age, it was his love and passion for music that built the foundation of his playing. With his Brazilian heritage and embedded musical spirit, entertainment for Yuri has always been effortless.

 

Since his arrival to Melbourne, Australia in 2016, Yuri has been sharing his culture and performing in both, Latin and entertainment scene as a percussionist, and has been a core member of the Australia’s leading percussion team ‘Speranza’. It is Yuri’s talent and ability to turn the love for the percussion into a career, that kept him focused on developing his style and versatility as a musician over the years.

Yuri has made a name for himself and earned credibility as Melbourne’s renowned trusted party starter and entertainer, performing at private events, bars & clubs around the city and large volume of corporate events. Throughout the years, Yuri has performed and collaborated with notable musicians, singers and artists around the country.
